Job Description

This large hospital is one of the area's top providers. 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct personnel activities, ensuring quality performance, utilizing supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Reassign personnel to optimize skill use and balance workloads.
  • Act as a liaison between leadership, employees, insurance adjusters, and physicians regarding employee injuries, and address any complaints or requests.
  • Develop and enforce employee health policies in line with local, state, and federal regulations, including immunization and tuberculosis screening. Maintain OSHA records and file injury/illness claims, ensuring follow-up and care for injured employees to minimize lost workdays.
  • Conduct hospital-wide safety inspections, and update departmental policies as needed. Assist with pre-employment physicals, screenings, and immunization programs.
  • Support the development and administration of the organization’s compensation program.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience: Required
  • Master's degree: Preferred
  • CIC: Required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS or equivalent): Required
