This large hospital is one of the area's top providers.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct personnel activities, ensuring quality performance, utilizing supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Reassign personnel to optimize skill use and balance workloads.
- Act as a liaison between leadership, employees, insurance adjusters, and physicians regarding employee injuries, and address any complaints or requests.
- Develop and enforce employee health policies in line with local, state, and federal regulations, including immunization and tuberculosis screening. Maintain OSHA records and file injury/illness claims, ensuring follow-up and care for injured employees to minimize lost workdays.
- Conduct hospital-wide safety inspections, and update departmental policies as needed. Assist with pre-employment physicals, screenings, and immunization programs.
- Support the development and administration of the organization’s compensation program.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience: Required
- Master's degree: Preferred
- CIC: Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS or equivalent): Required
