Job Description

Our client, located in Nashville is looking for a remote Revenue Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have healthcare experience, coupled with a CPA and at least two busy seasons in audit.

Revenue Manager Responsibilities:

Conduct monthly financial reviews for a portfolio of hospitals, including net revenues, bad debt expenses, cost report reserves and the valuation of accounts receivable
Prepare annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
Oversee Medicare and Medicaid audits, appeals and reopenings for prior year cost reports
Identify potential reimbursement opportunities, such as Medicare geographic reclassification, Disproportionate Share, Medicare rural hospital designations, state and local governmental funding programs, Medicaid rate setting, and other critical reimbursement areas
Manage projects related to reimbursement and other net revenue initiatives
Monitor state Medicaid legislative and regulatory changes
Communicate with Medicare and Medicaid intermediaries to resolve issues
Develop analytical tools and management reports, including profitability models, financial indicator reports and mandatory review checklists

Revenue Manager Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA designation or completion of all four parts of the CPA exam
2–3 years of experience in accounting
Recent experience with a CPA firm
Strong analytical skills
Effective task management capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Excel
Experience with regulatory review analysis
