About Us:

Maryland Treatment Centers provides a comprehensive continuum of treatment for individuals with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions. Clinical programs include assessment, residential/inpatient, detoxification, day treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient substance abuse, dual diagnosis, mental health, special education and prevention services. Our programs are accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO).

We also have a thriving research division investigating new treatment approaches for addictions. Ongoing clinical trials include pharmacotherapy and behavioral interventions for opioid use disorder and cocaine use disorder with patients in our clinic, in justice settings, and in the community. We have research partnerships with local and national institutions including Friends Research Institute, Johns Hopkins University, the National Institute on Drug Abuse’s Clinical Trials Network (NIDA CTN), University of Pennsylvania, and others.

We are currently searching for a Full Time Day Shift Nurse at our Baltimore location in the research department.

Responsibilities:

1. Assessment and documentation of clinical needs
2. General nursing care to patients
3. Appropriate and effective verbal communication with patients
4. Collaboration with the other members of the medical and research team
5. Administration of injectable medications for opioid use disorder
6. Administration of oral medication for opioid use disorder
7. Secure storage and reconciliation of medications

Minimum Requirements:

1. 1 Year of experience
2. Maryland Nursing License
3. Good organizational and documentation skills.
4. Ability to travel to community treatment locations
5. Willingness to provide care for patients experiencing substance use disorder at various community and justice sites.
