- Experience reading blueprints and plans, analyzing data, interpreting findings, and recommending a course of action.
- Knowledge of laws, rules, technical guidelines, and policies concerning environmental engineering, environmental sanitation, on-site sewage disposal
- Knowledge of environmental engineering, sanitation, public health science, environmental health science, soils, and mathematics.
- Knowledge of environmental and public health principles and practices as they pertain to facilities subject to state laws and rules.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of FGI guidelines for design & construction of healthcare facilities (hospitals, outpatient facilities and residential care settings).
- Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards
- License to practice engineering in the State of Indiana
