Homestead Veterinary Hospital is a 6-doctor practice serving a diverse caseload of 70% equine, 25% small animal, and 5% small ruminant patients. Our practice supports all disciplines of equine sports - from backyard companions to elite sport horses!
While our practice is primarily ambulatory, we do have a 10,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art hospital which features four stalls (including two mare/foal stalls and isolation) and indoor stocks.

We’re looking for a passionate, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Technician with strong communication skills and a desire to deliver exceptional client care. A special interest in sports medicine and lameness is highly desired, but all qualified applicants will be considered!

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
