Job Description

Job Overview:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care within a designated time period. Provides nursing care based on department and regulatory requirements. Work collaboratively with other members of the health care team.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Completion of required skill level courses

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Current New Jersey RN license
• Current AHA BLS Certification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift working, 7:00-7:30

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates Competency in Clinical Practice
• Follows MMCSC documentation policies and procedures
• Follows MMCSC policies and procedures related to time and attendance
• Provides accurate report on patients health care status to members of the health care team
• Provides and evaluates patient/family education based on the patient s individual needs
• Reports changes in the patients condition to the Licensed Independent Practioner (LIP) and Charge Nurse/Assistant Director of Patient Care in a timely manner
• Serves as liaison between patient, family, and Licensed Independent Practioner (LIP)
• Serves as mentor to new employees
• Utilizes resources to provide safe, appropriate, and efficient patient care
• Utilizes the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe and effective patient care in a timely manner
