- Thoroughly test games across multiple platforms and mobile, to identify and report any bugs, glitches, errors, and other issues.
- Follow established test plans and test cases, and provide detailed and accurate bug reports, including steps to reproduce and relevant screenshots or videos.
- Collaborate with game developers, designers, and other stakeholders to reproduce and verify reported issues, and assist in resolving them in a timely manner.
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure that issues have been resolved and do not reoccur.
- Test game features, mechanics, controls, and gameplay to provide feedback on usability, playability, and overall player experience.
- Provide suggestions and feedback on game design, balance, and improvement opportunities.
- Test and verify game performance, stability, and compatibility across different devices, operating systems, and hardware configurations.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of test environments, tools, and equipment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to game testing.
- Proven experience as a Game Tester or Quality Assurance Tester in the gaming industry.
- Strong passion for gaming and extensive knowledge of various game genres, platforms, and gaming devices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to follow test plans and test cases, and accurately report issues.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate issues and feedback to development teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of different gaming platforms, operating systems, and hardware configurations.
- Understanding of game development concepts and game design principles.
- Ability to adapt to different game genres and playstyles during testing.
- Experience with different game testing techniques, including functional testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, and regression testing.
- High level of enthusiasm, creativity, and initiative in identifying and reporting issues.
