Job Description

Manage solar construction projects independently from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring that projects meet or exceed planned profits. Use company processes and procedures to handle projects of varying sizes and complexities.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage solar construction projects from pre-construction to project closeout.
  • Utilize project management processes and tools, including scheduling, financial reporting, budget management, and project communications.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of projects.
  • Listen to client and subcontractor concerns, identify issues, and react accordingly.
  • Provide conceptual information to groups to illustrate ideas and concepts.
  • Facilitate and lead productive and effective meetings.
  • Prepare project baseline schedules and updates, using actual vs. baseline data to substantiate delays and impacts.
  • Track, manage, and mitigate project financial budgets vs. actuals.
  • Track field productivity, estimate vs. actual, and make course corrections to protect labor budget and project profit.
  • Take ownership of project safety, including weekly audits, incident investigation, and reporting.
  • Identify project impacts and delays, make timely notifications per contract documents, and prepare detailed documentation to submit claims.
  • Solve problems by understanding root causes, developing solutions, and implementing them.
  • Comprehend complex project concepts and manage them for success.
  • Travel overnight 3-4 days per week throughout the Midwest.


Essential Skills

  • Experience in project management and construction management.
  • Experience with solar construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.
  • Ability to schedule projects, manage budgets, and develop communication plans.
  • Proficiency in design, RFI, change orders, and project engineering.


Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or 2 years of project engineering experience.




Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
