Job Title: Project Coordinator

Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience

Position Overview: Ramar Steel, a leading structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabricator and erector based in Rochester, NY, is seeking Project Coordinator to join our team. The Project Coordinator is a dynamic and detail-oriented professional responsible for supporting the project management team in all phases of a construction project, from initiation to closeout. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent communicator, able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and possesses an understanding of construction processes. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key role in the successful execution of challenging projects, while working alongside experienced project managers and owners to ensure project goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Collaborate with Project Managers to implement project goals and assist with day-to-day project management activities.
  • Project Meetings: Attend project meetings and document key discussions, action items, and next steps.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Assist in the scheduling and coordination of fabrication and steel erection, including tracking deliveries and progress.
  • Documentation: Prepare and manage project documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, and site visit reports.
  • Customer Communication: Serve as a point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and timely updates on project status.
  • Reporting: Track and report project progress, identifying any potential delays or issues.
  • Problem Solving: Address project-related issues by proactively identifying solutions to keep the project on track.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1- 3 years of experience in a construction or project coordination role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with excellent multitasking and organizational skills. Familiarity with construction management software (Trimble) is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work under pressure, demonstrate initiative, and tackle challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and ability to maintain project accuracy and integrity.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
