Professional Land Surveyor in Tulsa, OK (Remote)

We are presently in search of a Professional Land Surveyor to join our team at our Tulsa, OK office, with the option to work remotely. The perfect candidate would be located in Oklahoma or Texas, but neighboring states are acceptable. Primary Responsibilities

- Reviewing and approving products developed by the department.
- Performing a range of professional and scientific surveying tasks.
- Representing the survey department in interactions with clients, the public, and officials.
- Developing and nurturing a strong client network while effectively managing client relationships.
- Assisting in the establishment and maintenance of team workload through business development efforts.

Qualifications

- Active registration as a Professional Land Surveyor by the Oklahoma State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (or willing to obtain). Registration in neighboring states is a plus; willingness to seek and obtain licensure in additional states is necessary (the company will cover these costs).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Carlson is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a civil engineering environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) survey guidelines and procedures is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in surveying computations.
- Knowledge of relevant Oklahoma Statutes pertaining to land surveying, land titles, deeds, and grants.
- Capability to comprehend and interpret legal documents, land survey drawings, field notes, and engineering plans.
- Proficiency in operating GPS equipment, total stations, and other electronic surveying devices.
- Ability to conduct advanced field calculations for traverse closures, coordinate calculations, and GPS positioning information.
- Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective organizational abilities and prioritization skills to meet established deadlines.
- Capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to ongoing learning to maintain proficiency in evolving technological landscapes.
- Occasional to frequent travel is to be expected.
- This role involves safety-sensitive responsibilities, which may include the safe operation of company vehicles and other safety-critical tasks, in compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.

- Sustained focus on detail in analytical situations demanding high accuracy.
- Skillful use of tools or equipment requiring fine dexterity.
- During fieldwork: Regular standing, walking, and stooping; Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of objects up to 60 pounds; Frequent handling of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Proficiency in using tools on steep or challenging terrain, navigating narrow, slippery, or uneven surfaces.
- Intermittent outdoor work in various weather conditions.
