Job Description

This position is responsible for developing and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers (PLM) to establish and maintain project baselines and schedules.
  • Monitor shop floor activities and discuss project status with supervisors daily to identify risks or delays and recommend corrective actions to the PLMs as required. 
  • Produce Project Status Reports demonstrating the current health of ongoing projects to both PLMs and/or Senior Management. 
  • Gather and analyze data to report and improve upon existing processes and procedures. 
  • Identify and generate new reporting methods to further optimize work-flow and assure on time completion. 
  • Professionally communicate with management both orally and in writing.
Knowledge:
  • Previous production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Shop floor experience in a fabrication, machining, and/or assembly environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Best Practices. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Data Processing and Reporting. 
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments with little supervision.
Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be an expert in MS Project.  
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze data and generate meaningful reports.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors / Associates degree in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 0 – 5 Years Experience Desired.
