The Role

We are looking for a talented and experienced Product Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user-centred design principles and be able to translate complex business requirements into intuitive and user-friendly products. The Product Designer will work closely with the product team, engineering team, and marketing team to create products that meet the needs of our users and achieve our business goals.

As a member of a lean early stage startup team, the ideal candidate is expected to be self motivated and opinionated - capable of managing upward with a strong independent voice and the ability to communicate their vision clearly in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research to understand user needs and pain points.

  • Design user interfaces that are intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.

  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to implement designs.

  • Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in user experience design.

Requirements

Ideal Background

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in user experience design.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and mockups.
  • Experience with usability testing.
  • A strong portfolio of work.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for user experience design.
  • Experience with Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop or Adobe XD. Expertise in Figma highly preferred.
  • Frontend engineering experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with web flow.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with A/B testing and user research.
