Pro Makeup Artist

Tarte is seeking a talented freelance artist with infectious personality to join our team! The ideal candidate can work their makeup magic in a flash, unleash their creativity, charm the beauties in their chair & be open to travel to various events. If you're ready to glam up the world with your skills & have a blast while doing it, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities:

• Freelance, in-house makeup artist for daily photoshoots – scheduled days may vary based on business needs, expecting approximately 20-25 hrs per week.
• On-site for all photoshoots, ensuring makeup meets expectations & fits the brief including natural looks & higher-level artistry.
• Build looks from bare face as well as touch up throughout shoots/events.
• Available for on-site & off-site events, including evenings and/or weekends as needed.
• Ability to manage multiple clients & work quickly & efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest makeup trends, application techniques, & industry developments.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a professional makeup artist; skills & experience styling hair a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in makeup application techniques for various skin types, tones, & features.
• Proven experience, with a portfolio of work to showcase.
• A keen eye for detail, with the ability to identify and fix imperfections in real-time during shoots.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work under tight timelines.
• Salary range: $50-60/hour (compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill level, relevant work experience & education)
