Homestead Health Care is hiring for Private Duty caregivers in the surrounding area of Canton, MI

Responsibilities:

Use of transfer assistive devices, including but not limited to Hoyer lifts, sit to stand, gait belts and slide board
Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and walking
Evaluate changes in client's health, conferring with other healthcare team members as needed
Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping
Use and cleaning of devices such as catheters, colostomy bags and oxygen supplies
Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
Develop and implement meaningful life enrichment activities
Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
Transport client to doctors' appointments or shopping
Complete all required documents and charting
Plan, shop for and prepare nutritious meals
Provide companionship for the client
Follow all Homestead policies and procedures

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
Experience passing medications
Able to pass a criminal background check
Valid Driver License/Insurance
High school diploma or GED
Reliable transportation
Travel Max of 25miles
Weekend Availability
