Job Description

A rapidly growing and well-regarded Graphics & Sign Company is looking to add a local Production Manager to their team! This growing company offers their clients valuable knowledge and expertise in Signage & Graphics . Due to the recent growth of the company, there is an opportunity for an Experienced Production Manager Professional to join the team. They are looking for someone who is driven to succeed but also has the ability to establish lasting relationships with their clients, both externally and internally. Print Production Manager Responsibilities:

Print Production-

* Pre-press - Well versed in multiple files and able to manipulate for optimum quality.
* Workflow management - Effectively manages daily workflow.
* Reviews work orders first thing to set up a daily schedule and lead production meeting with the owner and production team to review and confirm work orders and corresponding deadlines.
* Production - manages all aspects of print production, laminating, mounting and finishing, etc.
* Misprints - Keeps rework/errors to a minimum- pays close attention to the work order details, reviews specifics in a production meeting for alignment, raises questions when there are inconsistencies.
* Quality- high quality is one of our competitive differentiators. Must be able to discern good from the bad. Proactively brings questionable quality to the team in time to resolve issues by client deadlines.
* Problem Solving- knows the printers and software well enough to problem-solve solutions.

Design and Studio Management-

* Well versed in graphic design applications, good ability to translate a design order into an accurate proof for customers.
* Provide general graphic design services for clientele, as needed
* Ensures all materials are on-site to support production. Proactive in telling owner when new materials required to order
* Executes routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it stays in good working order

Print Production Manager Qualifications:

* Solid experience in print production and finishing, either through formal training or past positions.
* Good overall understanding of the digital printing process and best practices.
* Experience in lamination, mounting, and print finishing work.
* Well-versed and fluent in PC operated design programs including Photoshop and Illustrator
* Strong attention to detail fused with great multitasking ability.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
* Graphic installation experience a plus.
* High energy with strong communication skills.
* Punctual, arriving on time or proactively advising the team if there will be an issue and targets on-time departure.
* Maintains a professional appearance, manner, and communications when dealing with customers and other team members.
* Proactively provides suggestions for improvement in processes, equipment, materials, etc. that will help grow the business through improved quality, cost savings, and/or efficiency.
