Facility: Valleywise Health Medical Center

Department: LAB Clinical - Roosevelt

Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week

Shifts: Nights

As a phlebotomy technician, you will provide direct patient care by collecting blood specimens that will be used for laboratory diagnostic testing. You will join a team of dedicated phlebotomists who provide exceptional patient care in a busy medical center. Under the direction of the phlebotomy supervisor, you will use your knowledge and expertise to perform quality venipuncture techniques and collaborate with members of the health system to ensure phlebotomy services are meeting the needs of patients and customers.

Hourly Pay Range: $15.60 - $23.01

Night Shift

The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or GED certificate.

Certification/Licensure:

• Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. Fingerprint clearance cards must remain valid for the entire period of issuance and must be renewed before expiration.

• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Requires the ability to effectively read, write, and speak in English, including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
