Our top client is seeking a Director of Patient Financial Services in Los Alamos, NM ! If you have a strong background in healthcare management and a passion for optimizing revenue cycle functions, this role is perfect for you.

Job Summary: As the Director of Financial Services and Patient Access, you will oversee the daily operations of all Parallon managed facility-based revenue cycle functions and serve as the on-site liaison between the facility and Parallon Client Relations or the SSC. You will integrate the departments’ services with the hospital’s clinical and ancillary teams, implement policies and procedures that guide or support service levels, assess and improve department performance, and ensure orientation and continuing education of departmental staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee facility operations of Patient Access functions (e.g., pre-registration, benefit verification, pre-authorization, admission/registration, service pre-payment, etc.) to ensure daily operations are maintained according to standard.
  • Coordinate with facility departments/administration teams to manage key revenue cycle performance expectations and challenges, including upfront collections protocols, capturing accurate information, timely registration, patient satisfaction, denial prevention, patient flow, unbilled, and patient concerns.
  • Review Patient Access performance to ensure timeliness, accuracy, compliance, and standards fulfillment as defined in Service Level Agreements.
  • Oversee management of Patient Access personnel, including providing recommendations for hiring, promotion, salary adjustments, and ensuring staff is aware of any policy or procedure changes.
  • Actively seek ways to control costs and improve processes without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or the services delivered.
  • Coordinate with facility departments/administration teams to manage key revenue cycle performance expectations and challenges.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of healthcare management experience, with three of those years in a patient access or revenue cycle leadership role.
