Kirton McConkie, a large Salt Lake City law firm, has an exciting employment opportunity for a highly skilled Paralegal to join its dynamic International/Immigration Team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare visa petitions with team of legal assistants and attorneys.
- Prepare applicants, including executives, for visa interviews.
- Assist in resolving consular U.S. visa denials.
- Assist clients in implementing the transfer of employees abroad.
- Coordinate global work projects with local legal counsel outside the United States.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess:
- Excellent technical and persuasive writing, communication, and analytical skills to independently review, draft, and prepare documents.
- One year of experience with employment-based immigration, including PERM, nonimmigrant, or immigrant visa petitions is preferred.
- Create positive client interactions through understanding and communicating information effectively in writing, by phone, by e-mail, or in person.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
- An ability to manage and process a large volume of cases, set own work priorities, and meet work deadlines is essential.
- Position requires discretion, independent judgment, and critical thinking skills.
- Prior U.S. or foreign immigration experience is a plus, but not required.
- Paralegal degree or Bachelor's Degree required.
- Preference may be given to applicants with business immigration experience.
