Overview:

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Security Supervisor to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Security Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily shift operations for the Security Department by supporting direct reports through coaching, teaching, and training while implementing hotel standards .

 

Responsibilities:

• Be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures and ensure they are being adhered to by guests and colleagues alike
• Promote a safe working environment while adhering to OSHA mandated standards
• Monitor the fire life safety system with the ability to promptly respond to alarms and assist with evacuations
• Have thorough understanding of the hotel’s emergency preparedness procedures and catastrophic event response
• Responsible for logging daily activity, managing key control, and issuing visitor badge credentials
• Experience using video management systems, to view, replay, and archive surveillance footage
• Ability to communicate in a clear and articulate manor with guests and colleagues in a variety of platforms
• Serve as a liaison between the hotel and various law enforcement agencies who will be coordinating visits from high profile guests

Qualifications:

• 5 years’ experience working as a Security Officer or Loss Prevention Agent in an upscale or luxury environment, supervisory experience highly desired
• Must obtain a CPR certification, as well as a state issued Private Security Officer License within 30 days of hire date
• Must achieve CLSO designation within 6 months of hire date
• Knowledge and understanding of state laws and municipal ordinances
• Basic computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and any security operation software systems
• Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
• Physical demands:
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to ascent multiple stairwell levels at an expedite pace in emergency instances

Pay Range: USD $20.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
