Short Description• Coordinates clinical aspects of otolaryngology office practice. Acts as lead to clinical staff related to otolaryngology practice
o Supports, educates and assists patients and their families, serves as a patient advocate.
o Demonstrates effective teamwork as a member of the interdisciplinary care team, fostering and exemplifying a culture of respect. May participate in the direct care of patients during the Provider visit.
• Responsible for the coordination of care, assists in securing prescriptions and supplies for proper care.
o Consistently follows evidence-based practice and nursing standards/procedures to provide nursing care that eliminates preventable events of patient harm and promotes excellent patient outcomes.
o Scheduling patient appointments for refill requests.
o Assists providers with arrangements for home care, pharmacy issues, forms completion
o Participates in telephone triage
• Assures compliance with regulatory requirements in clinical office areas, related to otolaryngology practice
• 5 years or more. Previous Outpatient office experience a plus.
• Otolaryngology experience a plus
BSN preferred
License/Certification RequirementsCurrent NJ-RN License, BLS required
BLS
