We’re currently hiring an enthusiastic and collaborative Assistant Speech-Language Pathologist to support students for the current academic year. We are seeking a motivated professional who thrives on making a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and interpret data to recommend appropriate speech-language services.
- Design and implement evidence-based therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Conduct speech and language screenings for students with suspected communication challenges.
- Provide consultations to educators and families to help integrate communication strategies into daily activities.
- Support IEP development by creating meaningful goals and ensuring student placement follows proper procedures.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other professionals to align speech-language goals with classroom and home environments.
Requirements
- Illinois SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Previous experience in a school setting (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow guidance from the supervising SLP.
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
