Description The Network Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company's network infrastructure. You'll focus on ensuring network security, performance, and reliability, while also providing advanced technical support for all networking-related issues. You will work closely with other IT staff to manage projects and contribute to a robust and secure network environment. Key Responsibilities Title: Network Engineer Location: Plano Duration: 6 Month Contract Pay: $40-50 per hour + Configure, manage, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. + Monitor network performance, identifying and troubleshooting complex connectivity and latency issues (LAN/WAN). + Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures. + Perform routine network maintenance, including software updates and hardware upgrades. + Manage and optimize network services such as DNS, DHCP, and VPN. + Maintain detailed documentation of the network infrastructure and configurations. + Collaborate with other IT teams to support server and application deployment. + Respond to and resolve escalated network-related support requests. Requirements Qualifications + Proven experience in a Network Administration or a related IT role. + Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. + Experience with configuring and managing network equipment from major vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Aruba. + Understanding of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and VLANs. + Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. + Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + [Add any required certifications, such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.] Preferred Skills + Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios). + Knowledge of network automation scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell). + Experience with cloud networking services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). + Experience with enterprise-level wireless solutions. + Knowledge of network security best practices and intrusion detection systems.
