Title: Network Engineer
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Rate: $Market/Hr
Position: Long-Term

Job Description:-

• BS or equivalent + 5 - 7 years directly related experience and one of more of the following network certifications preferred including CompTIA A+, CCNA, CCNP
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN internet working products from F5, Checkpoint, Citrix Netscaler, Juniper SRX & Junos Space, Cisco Route/Switch
• Analyzes, implements, and maintains local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with switches, routers, load balancers, and other devices.
• Resolves interoperability and performance problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and application processing. Configures systems to user environments.
• Supports acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
• Supports network availability for mission critical IT service environment.
• Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the LAN/WAN field.
• General knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practical, and consistent with organization objectives. Works under only general direction.
• Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
• Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects.
• Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
• Ability to clearly articulate situations / issues to cross-functional teams and clients
