Title: Network Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Remote)

Type: Contract

Role Scope / Deliverables:

• Design, implement, and manage network solutions including routing, switching, wireless, firewall, SD-WAN, F5, and cloud networking.
• Perform network troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and load balancers.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and support of network systems.
• Utilize network management tools for monitoring and reporting (e.g., SolarWinds, Kentik, ThousandEyes, Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Prime).
• Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.

Key Skills:

• 3-7 years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
• Proficiency in networking technologies such as routing, switching, wireless, firewall, SD-WAN, and cloud networking.
• Experience with networking vendors such as Cisco, Aruba/Silverpeak, Fortinet, Meraki, F5.
• Familiarity with network management tools like SolarWinds, Kentix, ThousandEyes, Cisco Catalyst Center, and Cisco Prime.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, etc.) are a plus.
