Job Description
A utilities client in the Houston area is looking for two Network Analysts to join their team. The Network Analyst III will be responsible for design and operation of the CNP substation LAN WAN network. In addition the analyst will work with minimum direct supervision and work as part of technical teams on special projects and initiatives. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Planning, design, and installation of routers, switches, or other network components Demonstrate a working knowledge of the following: spanning tree, routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLAN technologies, WAN protocols. Conduct network troubleshooting using network protocol analysis tools such as WireShark. Possess good working knowledge and experience in planning, design, installation, and support of LAN (Ethernet, Gig-Ethernet). Possess good working knowledge and experience in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) protocols such as: CONITEL, DNP, Modbus and 68150. Possess good working knowledge of cybersecurity. Possess good NERC-CIP knowledge and SME (Subject Matter Expert) during audits. Conduct knowledge transfer activities with peers or other support groups. Responsible for vendor comparisons as needed. Maintain network drawings. Provide testing for new network hardware and software solutions. Accountable for adhering to Change Management process for network related incidents. Participates in process improvement initiatives. Serve as member of technical team on selected large-scale substation networking projects. Provides support, testing, troubleshooting for all business applications. Skills and Requirements -Minimum 6 years experience that includes network design, operational support, hands-on implementation and configuration of network devices such as: routers and switches -Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or Applied Science or equivalent work experience -Cisco Certifications: CCNA, CCENT. -3-6 years experience in providing design and support services for large-scale, multi-site network environments. -Experience in the OT networking environment -Good oral and written communication skills, including effective presentations of technical direction and vision for substation-wide network services technology -Utility industry experience -Able to successfully participate in multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time -Good oral and written communication skills, including effective presentations of technical direction and vision for substation-wide network services technology. -Must demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Ethics and Compliance Code, and other Company policies and procedures, and take all required training courses. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
