Description
We are seeking a professional and organized General Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a critical role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience while supporting daily operations in our medical office. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Front Desk Operations: Greet and check in patients, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
+ Patient Registration: Accurately collect and update patient information, including personal, insurance, and medical records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
+ Schedule Management: Handle appointment scheduling efficiently, manage cancellations and rescheduling, and coordinate physician availability.
+ Insurance and Billing Assistance: Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, inform patients of payment policies, and assist with basic billing inquiries.
+ Administrative Support: Assist with office tasks such as filing, scanning documents, processing referrals, and maintaining organized records.
+ Customer Service: Provide excellent service by resolving patient concerns or escalating them appropriately, ensuring a positive patient experience.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training or certification in medical office administration is a plus.
+ Minimum of 1-2 years of receptionist or administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare setting (Source: SG25 US Healthcare.docx).
+ Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Cerner or Epic is preferred (Source: SG25 US Healthcare.docx).
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office equipment.
+ Multitasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy office environment.
