Job Summary
Our client is currently seeking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician whose role include reading and interpret engineering blueprints, installing new production equipment and providing service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment
Job Description
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints
- Install new production equipment
- Service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment
- Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns
- Troubleshoot basic electrical problems
- Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools
- Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks
- Communicate with the production team and maintain a clean work area
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports
Skills Required
- 5 years industrial mechanical and/or electrical experience required
- Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems maintenance
- Basic understanding of welding
- Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Basic report writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment
- Good time-management skills
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on occasion
- Ability to understand detailed electrical and mechanical schematics
- Ability to effectively diagnose machine electrical and mechanical system malfunctions and concisely detail root cause(s) of malfunctions
- Willing to work any shift
- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must have basic hand tools
- Able to work in a fast pace, constantly changing production environment.
- Able to work in all weather conditions. Plant is not climate controlled
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
- Work Hours:
- Must be open working both shifts.
- 1 st Shift Mon-Thur 6:00am-6:00pm. Fri 6:00am – 4:30pm
- 2 nd Shift Mon-Thur 6:00pm – 6:00am. Fri 4:30pm – 3:30am
Pay Rate/Salary
- $29.00 - $34.00/hr and more depending on experience. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skill set and/or location
