Job Summary
CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineer in our Lexington, KY office. This position will work with a team of engineers to design energy efficient buildings for various clients for CMTA. The successful candidate is a self-motivated individual that thrives on helping clients and has the technical background to be involved in and lead all phases of our work.
The entry-level engineer works closely with the project manager to assist and support them. Below are some of the duties this position includes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication
- Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks
- Confer with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements
- Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements
- Produce high level contract documents using Revit
- Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc) to determine conformance with contract documents
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
- Experience with a consulting engineering firm is preferred
Desired Skills: - Construction or engineering experience preferred
- Experience with Revit/Computer Drafting
- FE Registration with potential for PE
