Job Description

Syndeo is seeking a passionate and motivated Marketing Coordinator to join a thriving music industry company. This entry-level full-time role is perfect for someone eager to dive into the world of music marketing, with a strong focus on social media management, ad placement, analytic tracking and reporting, budget tracking, and music promotion.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Director of Marketing and the full marketing team to develop their skills and actively contribute current skills, new ideas, workflows, and perspectives to our marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

  • Manage and maintain social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and posting.
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions to foster community engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, providing weekly reports, insights, and
  • recommendations for optimization.
  • Work with artists to help develop strategies, content plans, and provide general support and guidance where needed.

Music Marketing Support:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to support the development and execution of marketing campaigns for business initiatives and artists.
  • Learn and apply best practices for music marketing, including digital advertising strategies and audience targeting.
  • Assist in coordinating promotional activities, street team plans, promotional events, initiative launches, and release strategies to maximize visibility and engagement.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the music industry.
  • Place digital ads and track spends and performance.

Content Creation:

  • Contribute to the creation of marketing materials such as graphics, videos, and written content for various platforms.
  • Support the development of cohesive artist branding and visual identities across digital channels and ensure brand consistency and continuity.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain and update marketing calendars, budgets, campaign trackers, and other project documentation.
  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing team as needed.
  • Assist in budget tracking and invoice processing related to marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or a related field is preferred. Experience in the music industry is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Hive, etc.) both frontend and backend, and various other social media management tools.
  • Proficiency with Google workflows (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
  • Basic graphic design, photography, and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Understanding of digital marketing concepts, including SEO, PPC, and email marketing.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to acquire, interpret, and analyze marketing data to track performance, identify trends, and make
  • informed decisions to optimize campaigns.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for music and marketing.
