If you've ever wondered what happens behind the curtain of a marketing agency, read on for your inside peek.
I should probably introduce myself first...
My name is Amy and I manage the day-to-day of a thriving digital marketing agency.
Now if you're already thinking, "Wow Amy, that sounds like an amazing job, I bet you're pretty busy and could use a super-smart assistant who is detail-oriented and has at least some baseline marketing chops" well, you would be one thousand percent correct!
You see, getting to build marketing strategies, consult with clients, and manage people is in fact a pretty amazing job. But, there is a lot to be done.
I often find myself wishing I could squeeze a few more hours into the day.
After realizing that I know a heck of a lot more about marketing than I do about time travel I figured I'm much better off going with option 2 - Hiring an assistant.
...And that leads us to where we are right now - you reading what might be the most random job posting you've encountered today.
Someone who's detailed
The type of person who has probably already found my inevitable typos in this posting.
Someone who has an interest in marketing
I absolutely love what I do and want to be around others who are excited about learning cool stuff. Work shouldn't feel like a burden - life is just too short to be around grumpy people who do not enjoy their job.
Someone who can communicate (with me and with clients)
I've found that questions that take 17 emails back and forth could have often been solved with a simple 2-minute phone call. If you're hesitant or unable to every now and then pick up the phone and call me or call a client on my behalf, this may not be the best fit.
Someone who can help create strategies and build leadpages
An understanding of HTML is essential for this role.
Someone with an understanding of the real estate market
Knowledge of the real estate market will help tailor our marketing strategies to better serve our clients.
"Dang Amy, you're asking for a lot." Well, that's just the type of company we are. We're not afraid to tackle big things because those wins are so much sweeter than boring, day-to-day mundane tasks.
So if this sounds like something you'd be up for, reach out and I'd love to chat. Oh, one last thing, I'm a sucker for a great cover letter. That wins way more points than fancy degrees or certifications.
To your success,
Amy Cookman
