We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MainFrames Developer to join our dynamic team in Edison New Jersey. As a part of our risk management consulting firm you will play a pivotal role in maintaining enhancing and developing critical mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience with IBM Mainframe technologies and possess a strong understanding of legacy systems. You will work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality software solutions that meet client needs while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL JCL CICS and VSAM.
- Analyze user requirements and develop efficient technical solutions to meet business needs.
- Perform system testing and debugging to ensure optimum performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.
- Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
- Provide support during integration and deployment phases of applications.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance current systems and tools.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior developers as needed.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 57 years of experience in mainframe application development.
- Proficiency in IBM Mainframe technologies including COBOL DB2 MS SQL JCL CICS VSAM and Assembler.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment as well as independently.
- Experience in risk management or consulting industry is a plus.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fastpaced working environment.
