Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MainFrames Developer to join our dynamic team in Edison New Jersey. As a part of our risk management consulting firm you will play a pivotal role in maintaining enhancing and developing critical mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience with IBM Mainframe technologies and possess a strong understanding of legacy systems. You will work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality software solutions that meet client needs while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL JCL CICS and VSAM.
  • Analyze user requirements and develop efficient technical solutions to meet business needs.
  • Perform system testing and debugging to ensure optimum performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.
  • Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
  • Provide support during integration and deployment phases of applications.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance current systems and tools.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior developers as needed.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • 57 years of experience in mainframe application development.
  • Proficiency in IBM Mainframe technologies including COBOL DB2 MS SQL JCL CICS VSAM and Assembler.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment as well as independently.
  • Experience in risk management or consulting industry is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fastpaced working environment.
