Mail Clerk/Driver Responsibilities:
Couriers/Drivers will perform various pick-ups and deliveries among 6 buildings on multiple campuses within a 95 (mile) mile radius of the main contract location. Primary duties include transporting mail to multiple buildings, the retrieval and delivery of mail as well as the loading and unloading of the vehicle. In addition, Courier Drivers must maintain a daily automobile log of mileage, all mail pieces loaded and unloaded, and point of departure times. These logs are submitted to the project manager at the end of each day.
Additional duties include Sorting and processing incoming mail, perform customer service operations and meter outgoing mail including registered mail. Accept incoming mail from remote delivery facility, couriers, or other sources and sort to the appropriate bin location. Use automated system for tracking accountable mail, locate addresses and appropriate personnel offices, official mail and pitch to the appropriate office bins. This position calls for a high attention to detail which allows for a 100% accuracy rating of inbound and outbound mail processing.
Job Requirements:
Candidates must be punctual and dependable, organized, detail oriented and have the ability to meet stringent deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Previous mail room experience is a must and previous experience with accountable mail and automated systems is preferred. Must be able to lift 50-70lbs.
