Controlled Key Systems has an immediate opening for an experienced Locksmith/Security Technician. Applicant must possess a customer service attitude and present themselves professionally at all times. The applicant must pass a hands-on, practical test including rekeying, master keying, lock picking, etc. The successful applicant must provide all of their own hand tools. Specialty tools, uniforms, and a service vehicle are provided by Controlled Key Systems. A list of required tools will be given to the successful applicant. The duties of this position are as follows: -Perform general locksmith tasks such as rekeying, master keying, cylindrical & mortise lock installation & service. -Service exit devices, door closers, safes, and all door related hardware. Troubleshoot problems and be able to resolve them quickly and professionally. -Make recommendations for repairs and upgrades and complete follow up. -Working without direct supervision with accuracy is a must. -Work on any repair or project as needed, either independently or as a team member. -Work with a variety of hand tools, measuring devices, power and service trade tools. -Able to keep a clean and professional work area. -Able to work with a positive attitude and have pride in your workmanship. -Able to work weekends and nights on emergency basis. -Able to track each job performed on daily tracking form and follow company and customer policies. -Must track and turn in all paperwork daily, in a timely and professional manner. -Able to work with other vendors to complete repairs when needed. This position requires that you are able to work for extended periods on your feet, kneeling, and/or on a ladder. You must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a complete understanding of the English language and possess excellent verbal, written and troubleshooting skills. The applicant MUST have a clean driver's license (DMV check required). Our business hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00am until 5:00pm, plus emergency on-call services for our customers. Once the probationary period is completed, our locksmith technicians use the company service vehicle for their commute to and from work.
