If you’re an attorney who thrives on preparing cases for trial, with strong skills in litigation, discovery, court appearances, and pre-trial preparation, this could be the perfect role for you. Note that trial appearances are not necessary for this role.

Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Associate at Phelps Law, you will:

• Conduct legal research
• Draft pleadings, motions, and respond to discovery requests
• Prepare case files for trial
• Participate in some video court appearances

Requirements

• New Graduates: Welcome to apply if you have excelled in Contracts/Contract Disputes and are currently studying for the Bar.
• Experienced Attorneys: Also encouraged to apply.
• California Bar: Studying for or already received your California Bar License.
• Litigation Skills: Strong grasp of civil litigation procedures.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Westlaw, CEB, Outlook, e-Filing, Adobe, and Excel.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous and self-reliant with a strong work ethic.
• Availability: Flexible availability of 20-40 hours per week.
