Job Description



We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Investigative Data Analytics team within our Digital Investigations & Discovery (‘DI&D”) group in multiple geographical areas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with project teams on challenging projects, leveraging your expertise in data analysis and client engagement to deliver innovative solutions to complex data-intensive matters and transforming them into actionable insights.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Investigative Data Analytics team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional data analysis roles. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of data analytics but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyze and interpret real-world, high-stakes data sets, including historical financial, operational, and transactional data, leveraging your expertise in databases and programming languages (Python, R, Java, SQL, Scala, Julia, or similar).
  • Identify, research, and organize information to ensure data quality and facilitate effective analysis, flagging any potentially sensitive content.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to provide critical support in leading projects, including the identification, collection, processing, review, and production of electronic data for security and regulatory investigations.
  • Contribute to the creation, validation, and presentation of analyses, reports, and other project deliverables, providing valuable insights to clients.
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss project progress, findings, and recommendations, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with project teams, external professionals, and client staff to coordinate project activities effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, MIS, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ full years of experience in a consulting firm or similar environment
  • Strong background in analyzing historical financial, operational, or other real-world transactional data sets.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, Java, Scala, Julia, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, Looker, Google Analytics)
  • Exposure to ETL software (SSIS, Pentaho, Fivetran, Stitch, Azure Data Factory, etc.)
  • Ability to travel occasionally, depending on project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis in specific industries (e.g., healthcare, financial, insurance, legal, government, retail, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Understanding of cryptocurrency and other digital assets.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for data storage and processing.
  • Experience with data visualization tools beyond the basics (e.g., interactive dashboards, storytelling techniques).

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $110k - $125k. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
