We are a well-regarded and rapidly expanding cannabis company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Manager to oversee our cannabis inventory operations in strict adherence to regulatory guidelines. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for managing the receipt, transfer, and tracking of cannabis products, ensuring full compliance with the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) regulations, and overseeing our internal audit process. This role is crucial to maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating product variances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and maintain accurate and compliant cannabis inventory, including flower, concentrates, edibles, and other cannabis products, in accordance with CRA guidelines.
  • Ensure the proper tracking and documentation of all internal and external transactions, including the physical and electronic transfer of products between departments, external suppliers, and for sale, using METRC and other approved systems.
  • Complete daily data entry and record-keeping, including logging product transactions, transfers, and inventory updates, ensuring compliance with CRA and state cannabis laws.
  • Coordinate with the security team to ensure proper vault access and product storage, ensuring access is granted only to authorized personnel and in compliance with state regulations.
  • Conduct periodic and random internal audits to ensure compliance with both state law and internal policies, addressing any discrepancies or variances promptly.
  • Track the quality control of incoming and outgoing products, ensuring all products are properly labeled, packaged, and compliant with CRA standards.
  • Lead, train, and supervise the inventory team to ensure efficient inventory management processes and a thorough understanding of Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) guidelines and policies.
  • Investigate and resolve any inventory variances, working closely with the compliance team to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act (MRTMA) and Michigan Medical Marijuana Act (MMMA) provisions concerning cannabis inventory management and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management with a focus on compliance within the cannabis industry.
  • METRC Experience: 3 years (Required)
  • Strong working knowledge of Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) guidelines, including those relating to cannabis product handling, reporting, and inventory audits.
  • A high attention to detail with a strong focus on compliance with state and local cannabis laws and regulations.
  • Experience in conducting inventory audits to ensure accurate product tracking and compliance with MRTMA and MMMA.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10 operating system.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve complex compliance-related challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to train and lead an inventory team.
  • Must be able to pass an iCHAT background check in accordance with state regulations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 8 hours.
  • Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, and crouch to access products.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull carts with various weights.
