Job Description

Sletten Construction is looking for an Interior Industrial Pipe Fitter to support current industrial construction projects in the state of Nevada. The Pipe Fitter is responsible for assisting the construction team with various pipe systems and other related industrial equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, blueprints and sketches
• Construct, lay out or plan piping assemblies with respect to walls, structures and other obstructions
• Construct various types of pipe joints for high or low-pressure systems
• Cut, fit, fabricate, and assemble a wide variety of articles including but not limited to; ductile iron, steel, FRP, and C900
• Underground utility piping
  • Proper assembly and joining of various pipe systems
  • Setting grade lasers and understand profile drawing and 1-lines
  • Coordinate routing around existing buried utilities
  • Work around heavy equipment
• Industrial Mechanical Piping
  • Demo existing process piping systems and rework routing
  • Setting of pumps and other related industrial equipment
  • Layout and installation of supports.

Qualifications

• 5 years previous Pipe Fitting experience
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints
• Experience with wastewater treatment plants is preferred

• Initial project is located in Las Vegas, NV
• Work environment is a combination of outdoors and indoors
