Job Description

Iconica is seeking an Interior Design Intern to join our team for summer 2025! We’re redefining the way design and construction are approached, with a collaborative mindset that blends architecture, engineering, and construction under one roof. In this role, you’ll collaborate with architectural and design professionals, gaining insight into how a project evolves from the initial conceptual and schematic design phases. You’ll also gain experience in:
  • Assisting with the development of design concepts and drawings to communicate ideas to clients.
  • Contributing to the creation of design solutions that align with project budgets.
  • Working alongside engineering and construction teams to ensure that initial conceptual and schematic designs are practical and buildable.
  • Attending client meetings and presentations.
  • Participating in construction site visits.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
  • Enrollment in an Architectural Technology, Architecture, or Interior Design program.
  • Previous internship experience in design-build, construction, or architecture (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Revit or BIM360 (preferred).
  • Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • High initiative and passion for learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
