Design Assistant
Dejager Design Inc. is a full-service interior design firm specializing in luxury residential interiors. The firm's founder and Principal Designer, Errol Dejager, brings a multifaceted perspective to design, with a rich background in graphic design, architecture, construction, and landscaping, all contributing to a holistic understanding of creating dream homes. We are currently looking for an ambitious, driven individual who is passionate about interior design to join our team as a full-time Design Assistant . The Design Assistant will be responsible for supporting our design team and Project Managers. This position will report to a Project Manager.
This is an in-person opportunity and candidates should be available to work in the Beverly Hills office daily, with travel to the Newport Beach office and client homes required. This position requires approximately 25-30% travel time, mostly within Southern California.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate for this position will either be interested in starting a career in interior design or will already have experience in interior design and is looking to further specialize in luxury residential interior design.
You are highly adaptable and flexible and enjoy work that requires frequent shifts in direction. You will have a proven track record for thoughtfully assessing any given situation, anticipating outcomes and taking ownership in order to ensure the most optimal outcome you can. You take direction extremely well, listen well, and proactively communicate status updates on the items you're working on. Above all, you are a team player who thrives in high pressure environments to meet deadlines with enthusiasm, steadiness and calm.
