Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Instructional Designer to join our team and play a key role in the development and execution of training programs that enhance employee learning and performance across various business functions. This role will focus specifically on Release 3 of an SAP implementation within a Work and Asset Management program. You will work closely with internal teams to assess learning needs, design effective training strategies, and evaluate the success of learning initiatives.
The Instructional Designer will be instrumental in ensuring that all training solutions are tailored to support the seamless integration of SAP and other related systems. You will contribute to driving system adoption and ensuring employees are fully equipped to navigate changes to tools, processes, and workflows as new SAP features are introduced throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Audience Analysis & Change Impact Assessments:
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze audience needs and assess the impact of changes on business processes. Use these insights to design customized learning strategies that support SAP system integrations.
Learning Strategy & Development:
Create comprehensive learning strategies and plans for different user groups, addressing knowledge gaps and ensuring smooth adoption of SAP functionalities. Develop detailed training schedules, clear objectives, and content outlines that align with system changes.
Training Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
Develop and implement learning assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, materials, and instructors. Regularly analyze feedback and performance metrics to ensure that training efforts continuously improve and meet organizational goals.
Job Aids & Performance Support:
Design and create job aids, quick reference guides, and other performance support materials to assist end users in applying new SAP processes and workflows in their day-to-day tasks. These resources should be intuitive and accessible for users at all levels.
Change Readiness & Training Updates:
Conduct change readiness assessments and pulse checks to monitor the success of training initiatives. Regularly update training materials and strategies based on these insights to ensure the training content remains relevant and effective.
Experience & Skills:
Instructional Design Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in instructional design, with a strong focus on enterprise-wide change management and transformation initiatives.
SAP Integration Experience (Preferred):
Hands-on experience with SAP integrations, particularly within Work and Asset Management or similar modules. Familiarity with SAP system configurations and integrations is highly desirable.
ServiceNow Experience (Preferred):
Experience with ServiceNow integration projects is beneficial, but not required.
Relationship Management:
Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong relationships across diverse teams, including IT, HR, Finance, Legal, and Operations, to ensure alignment and success in training efforts.
Instructional Design & Development Expertise:
Proven track record of planning and developing engaging, effective training solutions at a project level, particularly in complex, enterprise-wide settings.
Strong Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner for various audiences.
Training & Learning Scope Management:
Proven ability to manage the scope of training initiatives, ensuring that they are delivered on time and in alignment with business objectives.
Consulting Experience (Preferred):
Experience working in a consulting capacity is a plus, especially if it involves delivering tailored training solutions for large-scale, enterprise-level projects.
Microlearning & Infographic Creation:
Experience in creating microlearning videos and infographics that deliver concise, engaging learning content and key information in a visually appealing format.
Business Process & Technology Integration:
Ability to effectively communicate how business processes and technology integrate to deliver value, especially in the context of enterprise systems like SAP.
Education & Certifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or a related field.

SAP Certification
ServiceNow Certification
Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or similar training certifications
