Job Summary Alaska Overview
ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. is Alaska's largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2023. The company produced an average of 195 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (MBOED) in 2023. ConocoPhillips Alaska holds major ownership interests in two of North America's largest legacy equivalent per day conventional oil fields, both located on Alaska's North Slope: Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips Alaska owns and operates several fields on the Western North Slope. The company also has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and owns and operates the Polar Tankers fleet.
The HSE Analytics & Systems Coordinator (Data Analyst) will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting health, safety, and environmental data to support the company's compliance and sustainability initiatives. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure data accuracy and provide actionable insights to improve HSE performance.
Job Description Your responsibilities may include: - Data Management: Ensure HSE data is accurately captured in ConocoPhillips' HSE database (Intelex)
- Global Collaboration: Participate in global ConocoPhillips working teams to enhance global HSE metrics tools and lead HSE data innovation
- Dashboard and Visualization: Collaborate with Global HSE and BU Counterparts to deliver and continuously improve HSE dashboards and visualization practices for tracking key performance metrics
- Data Analysis: Analyze HSE data to identify trends that can result in actionable strategies and drive decision-making processes
- Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports and presentations on HSE performance for management and stakeholders, including:Semi-annual executive leadership reviews, HSE Steering Committee meetings, Company executive leadership visits, Operations and HSE Town Halls, Annual HSE Review and Strategic Planning sessions
- Corporate Reporting : Lead corporate HSE reporting, including: Monthly HSE effectiveness score, Annual Compliance Verification program (data preparation and reviews)
- System Maintenance: Assist with maintenance and improvement of the HSE Management System and Website
- Opportunity to Learn Process: Coordinate the Opportunity to Learn process for the Business Unit, including:Facilitating Learning Teams, Providing training to new facilitators within the business unit, Conducting quality assurance on action entry into Intelex
- Training Delivery: Deliver HSE training to Anchorage-based staff covering:Hazard identification (HazID), Personal risk assessment (PREP), HSE culture (Incident Free Culture)
Basic/Required: - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Data Science, or related field or foreign equivalent
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft O365 Applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word
- Basic proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Spotfire)
Preferred: - 3 or more years direct experience in Health, Safety, Environmental
- 1 or more years experience with Microsoft Power Platforms (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
- 1 or more years experience with Python, SQL, M, or other code.
- 3 or more years direct experience in Health, Safety, Environmental
- Intermediate proficiency in advanced analytics such as predictive analytics, anomaly detection, pattern recognition & text analysis
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Collaboration skills & experience working across multiple functional groups
- Ability to manage continuous improvement projects through successful completion.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and networking skills
- Strong communication skills (written, oral, and formal presentation)
- Practical self-starter & can work effectively with minimal supervision
