Job Description

Overview

VersAbility Resources is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our dynamic and supportive team. This internship provides valuable, hands-on experience in a variety of HR functions, allowing the intern to actively contribute to key areas such as employee recruitment, onboarding, training, and general HR operations. The selected candidate will gain exposure to the full scope of HR activities, learn about best practices, and work closely with our experienced HR professionals to support the needs of our organization.

We are seeking candidates who reside in Virginia and can work onsite at our corporate location in Hampton, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruitment efforts (attending recruiting events, reviewing resumes, etc.)
  • Support onboarding/new hire orientation processes for new hires.
  • Help maintain and update employee records.
  • Participate in employee engagement and training activities.
  • Assist in general HR administrative tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently a Junior or Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field requiring a GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for working in a mission-driven nonprofit environment is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
