Job Description
Control Risks' Embedded Consulting Services is looking for a GSOC Operator to support a major global technology company.
This role will require the individual to work on-site in San Jose, and will likely require the candidate to work night/swing shift.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Respond to crises or emergencies that occur in the global office or involve employees, and coordinate resources to respond quickly and correctly.
- Monitor global risk events and make preliminary analysis and judgments.
- Real-time alarm system monitoring, respond in a timely manner according to the process.
- Online physical security ticket response and processing.
- Cooperate with the team to handle various emergencies.
- Keep good records of work, handover and incident reports.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in a GSOC, Security Operations, or similar role working in the technology sector
- Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or related areas of study preferred.
- Proficient in using office software, with good document writing skills.
- Strong logical thinking ability, strong team awareness, good communication skills.
- Able to remain calm and professional under strong pressure.
- Able to work a 24/7 schedule, flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.

The base salary range for this position in California is $65,000-$70,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per California SB 1162.
