Job Title: GCP Data Engineer IAM & Data Security

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer with a strong background in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to design, develop, and secure modern data platforms on Google Cloud. This role requires expertise in building scalable data pipelines and implementing robust access control and data governance strategies to ensure compliance and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Engineering & Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures using GCP services such as BigQuery , Dataflow , Dataproc , and Cloud Storage .
• Data Ingestion & Transformation: Develop solutions to ingest, transform, and store structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• IAM Strategy & Implementation: Configure and manage IAM roles, permissions, and access policies to ensure secure and role-based access to GCP data resources.
• Access Control & Compliance: Implement fine-grained access control aligned with user roles and organizational policies. Ensure adherence to data security and privacy regulations.
• Data Security: Apply best practices to safeguard data, including encryption at rest and in transit , and monitor access using audit logs and security tools.
• Data Governance Collaboration: Work closely with data governance and compliance teams to enforce data policies, classification, retention , and quality standards .
• Monitoring & Observability: Set up data observability tools to monitor pipeline health, identify anomalies, and ensure high data quality and availability.
• Programming & Scripting: Write clean, efficient code in Python and SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and automation of workflows.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of total proven work experience in Data Engineering
• 5+ years as a GCP Data Engineer
• 3+ years of hands-on expertise in IAM configuration and management .
• Strong understanding of cloud data architecture , data modeling, and modern ETL/ELT practices.
• Proficiency in Python , SQL , and GCP data services.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and security best practices .
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
