Job Description

Position Summary 

The Sales associate is to provide an amazing shopping experience to each customer. This is done by following company policies and upholding our company culture and values. The primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, provide customers with accurate information on our array of products and services, and support the management team. This person should fluidly adjust their daily role to fit specific company needs and embrace the core values of Kabelin Hardware Company. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute best practices instituted by the UPS store Franchise and the District Manager
  • Meet customer service expectations
  • Day-to-day operations 
  • Housekeeping standards 
  • Maintain effective communication with staff and management via Trello
  • Maintain merchandising standards
  • Answer customers' questions and provide information on products and services
  • Process customers in a timely manner
  • Follow packaging requirements to ensure no damage occurs to customers’ products during transit
  • Ensure all packaging requirements are communicated with the UPS driver at the time of pickup (Ex: High-value items are signed at pickup) 
  • Assist customers with copying, faxing, laminating, and binding projects 
  • Coordinate print customers with our print specialist 
  • Sell and Maintain customer mailboxes 
  • Balance end-of-day drawers 

Knowledge, Skills, and Physical Requirements 

  • Strong written and communication skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Able to maintain a professional attitude and appearance 
  • Ability to multitask 
  • Ability to lift at least 60 pounds and reach above your head 
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8-10 hours a shift.
  • 3-5 days a week, at least one night closing until 6:00 PM and working every other weekend.

Operation Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 6:00PM

Saturday - 8:00AM- 5:00PM

Sunday - 10:00 AM - 3:00PM
