If you are a dynamic and driven writer who is committed to staying up-to-date with all aspects of aviation, we want you to join our growing team of collaborators as a Freelance Writer.

Launched in June 2018,  Simple Flying is the leading independent voice for aviation news and insight. Our goal is to provide a one-stop hub for all the important stories on commercial aviation, sharing the news in a simple, accessible way. We cover all regions and all aspects of commercial aviation, as well as loyalty, military, and private aviation. We’re digital first, and all of our content is free to read and access.

Overview: As a freelance writer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content on everything related to commercial aviation, including history, airline and airport news, and manufacturing. We are also looking for specialists in the fields of loyalty, private aviation, and military aviation. You will work closely with the editorial team to pitch, research, and write articles that inform and inspire readers. This is a remote position, and we welcome collaborators from anywhere in the world.

What We’re Looking For:

• Write a minimum of 3 articles per week
• Collaborate with the editorial team to develop new ideas and angles for stories
• Produce high-quality, well-researched, and original content
• Work under tight deadlines and submit tasks on time
• Work with our editors and Editorial Lead to implement feedback efficiently

Skills We’re Looking For :

• Proven experience as an aviation writer, preferably with published work
• Exceptional research skills and the ability to create unique and informative content
• In-depth knowledge of commercial aviation trends and history
• Excellent command of the English language and strong writing skills
• Familiarity with SEO and content marketing best practices
