JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports Creative Services is seeking a Freelance Motion Graphics Designer/Realtime Artist for our award-winning in-house design group. Our clients include studio and remote support for FOX NFL, FOX NASCAR, FOX MLB, FOX COLLEGE FOOTBALL, studio-based shows including THE HERD, UNDISPUTED, SPEAK FOR YOURSELF and many other clients. The Freelance Motion Graphics Designer/Realtime Artist will work with the Creative Director as well as production managers to maintain design standards and expectations of production values.

FOX Sports Creative Services is a centralized resource within FOX Sports. Our responsibilities include on-air branding, brand development, implementation and maintenance, set design, graphic design edit support, information graphic systems, graphic software development, real-time graphics via gaming engines (Unreal engine), Viz-RT, Ventuz, and proprietary systems, and graphic production management with offices in Los Angeles and Charlotte, North Carolina.

This is an IATSE position and requires membership in the Union.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conceptualize, design, and execute new AR/VR features
• Work collaboratively across multiple disciplines, including design, software development, and engineering.
• Model, texture, light, and rig assets and environments for AR/VR executions
• Optimize scenes to maintain minimum performance levels
• Blueprint within Unreal Engine
• Assist in the development and implementation of testing procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Participate in ongoing workflow enhancements

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 5+ years of experience in broadcast design or game development
• Proficient working in real-time rendering software, particularly Unreal Engine
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud with 3D experience
• Fluent in Unreal Engine and Adobe Substance Painter
• Highly organized and motivated to work in a creative environment
• Ability to work within strict timelines in an organized manner
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a time sensitive, high-pressure environment
• Team player and the ability to engage in written and verbal communication within and across departments

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, game development, software engineering, or related fields
• Knowledge of Cinema 4D
• Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling platforms, Substance 3D and RizomUV
