Job Summary:

• End client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fortra Automate Specialist to join their growing IT team.
• This role will be crucial in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated processes using Fortra Automate (formerly HelpSystems Automate).
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automation principles, scripting experience, and a passion for streamlining workflows.
• The Fortra Automate Specialist will be responsible for the full lifecycle of automation development, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and ongoing support.
• This includes creating and maintaining robust, efficient, and scalable automated solutions that integrate with various systems and applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement automated workflows using Fortra Automate.
• Create and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript, Python) within the Fortra Automate environment to extend functionality and integrate with other systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated processes.
• Monitor and optimize existing automated workflows for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and business users to gather requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
• Document automated processes and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Stay current with the latest Fortra Automate features and best practices.
• Provide support and training to end-users on automated processes.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Manage and maintain the Fortra Automate environment, including upgrades and patches.
• Contribute to the development of automation strategies and roadmaps.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience (e.g., 2+ years) working with Fortra Automate (formerly HelpSystems Automate) or similar automation platforms.
• Strong scripting skills in at least one of the following languages: PowerShell, VBScript, Python.
• Experience with integrating automated processes with various systems and applications (e.g., databases, APIs, web services).
• Solid understanding of automation principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with [mention any specific systems or applications relevant to your company, e.g., ERP systems, CRM systems, cloud platforms] is a plus.
• Fortra Automate certifications are a plus.
