Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE)
This position is located at our Show Low, AZ clinic. This is a per diem position.

Description:
Under the supervision and direction of the Clinical Coordinator, provides forensic nursing care to adult and adolescent patients by taking patient histories, assessing medical needs, administering treatment, collecting forensic evidence, documenting encounter, and a variety of other health care duties.
Tasks/Duties:
Utilizes the nursing process and evidence-based knowledge to provide comprehensive care to a designated patient population. Accurately documents and maintains patient medical records.
Collects and documents forensic evidence, maintaining secure chain of custody.
Administers medication and treatments, including injections, and instructs patients on proper follow-up procedures.
Educates patients and their support persons on health risks, post-trauma phenomena, local and national resources, and safety planning
Maintains inventory of exam room equipment, supplies, and medications, reporting needs to Clinical Coordinator or Program Manager.
Participates in on call schedule a minimum of 48 hours per month and able to respond to calls or texts within 30 minutes.
Qualifications:
Unencumbered Arizona Nursing License or license from Compact State.
Minimum of two years nursing experience.
Completion of required IAFN-approved SANE-A and DV examiner training or willingness to do so within specified time period.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout Northern Arizona to complete an examination.
