Summary: This role is responsible for overseeing the fixed asset accounting process, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of assets in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards (GAAP). This role manages the fixed asset sub-ledger, maintains accurate records of company assets, and supports audits and reporting requirements.Essential Functions:

• Oversee the accounting for all fixed assets, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP).
• Administer and enhance controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of fixed asset data.
• Coordinate with departments to track construction-in-progress (CIP) and ensure timely capitalization.
• Review and approve asset classification and estimated useful lives.
• Manage physical inventory and tagging of fixed assets.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Provide financial analysis related to capital expenditures, depreciation trends, and asset utilization.

• Bachelor’s Degree. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with one year of fixed asset accounting experience.
• CPA License.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, fixed asset accounting and internal controls.
